The SD2 sensor is designed to survive in low-oxygen environments where other sensors simply fail and die. The SD2 sample draw sensor can easily interface with facility control systems or gas detection controllers for early leak detection gas in controlled atmosphere, and other various applications.
The SD2 uses an industry- proven electrochemical sensor for low-ppm accuracy and target gas specificity, along with special valve sequencing to “refresh” the cell with clean air to extend cell life. A reverse-purge routine also helps self-clean the micron filter and a built-in heated air purge prevents moisture buildup in the lines.
Since other competitors’ models rely on long sample tubes to reduce cost on the amount of sensors needed, 50 ppm of ammonia gas or more can be lost in the tubing due to ammonia’s affinity to water. The SD2 sensor greatly improves early detection capability with short sample tubes and sample tube heating.
